Plus, most of said fighting is pure impov: these are people who do real martial arts for fun. Like, it's way more competent than what a lot of people with vastly more resources have put out. The fight scenes are fun to watch, they're not over-choreographed, and the cinematography- unlike what a lot of Hollywood was putting out at that time- actually has the courtesy to let you see what the fuck is going on during them. That it was even made in the first place is an achievement in itself. ![]() On one hand, I'd argue Who Killed Captain Alex? is unironically good in a lot of ways, especially in light of the fact that it was made in Wakali, a Ugandan village with unreliable electricity and scarce access to clean drinking water, and edited on a computer that was literally put together from scrap parts.
